And so it begins

Green fields and barbed wire 2 cr.jpg
And so it begins
By Timothy Collins
And so it begins.
The idea for Then and Now Media has been rambling around in the cellular world of my brain for several years. It took some time to translate the idea into the digital reality of the ether world, whatever, or wherever, that is. Publication of my book, Selling the State, spurred me to action.
But the action was interrupted. This blog is a rewrite of the first one I put up on this site a couple of weeks ago. I loaded an approved add on package that went rogue and destroyed everything on the website. I am putting the blog up here both as a record of what I want to do and as a reminder that for every effort at envisioning a green field, there always seems to be some barbed wire to remind you that things don’t always go as planned.
But there really are plans for Then and Now Media. Over the next few months, you’ll see links to my essays for the Daily Yonder, some poetry and fiction, photos, and pieces on rural history, especially Theodore Roosevelt’s Country Life Commission.
Rural life has been my passion for years.
I am happy to share it with you.
On to the green fields.
